6. Six Unedited Photographs

I like to take photos. I love to take photos.

I post them on Instagram, on Facebook, on my Tumblr blog sanfranciscookie.tumblr.com, I send them to friends through Gmail, Skype, WhatsApp, I use Snapshat and sometimes I print. Incredible how all these modern companies has taken over our lives, how we can communicate overseas and so rapid through them. Incredible how society is expanding so fast and how for example my grandfather wouldn’t know any of these names if he read this. I’m actually gonna ask him this summer when I’m back in Sweden. He does know what a blog is, since my mom show him my Tumblr. Sweet!

Since I came to California I’ve taken more than 1500 photos, some of them I’ve shared with you, some of them not. I use my iPhone 5 and a few of the pictures are pretty bad quality, but I don’t care. There’s still a lot in them: buildings, cafes, bars, restaurants, people, friends and unknowns, dogs, parties, plants, trees, art, coffees, skies, cars, churches, bridges, beaches, stores, streets, museums, concerts, flowers, sunshine, ice creams, selfies, yoga classes, school and clinic observations, restrooms, buses, bicycles, performances, trips, boyfriend (singular on this one), dinners, mountains, hills, views, food, drinks, action, movement, stillness and whatever you see in the photos. They capture moments, and there’s always the art of cropping which makes photography so interesting; what was going on to the left of the photo? Who knows.

In the coming blog posts I will pick some of my photos and let them tell you the story of my life in this beautiful city. They will be unedited, no filters, just bona fide authentic pictures of real daily life in San Francisco 2015.
