You will have the chance to apply for ‘Academic Training’ whilst you are studying here, which basically means that you are eligible to work/intern at many SF organisations. This really is a fantastic opportunity, not only to extend your visa and stay in SF for longer, but to also actively engage with the heart of the city. I am currently interning at an organisation called Liquake, who put on the largest literary festival on the west coast, every year in October. Working alongside the wonderful people there has given me great experience already, many useful professional contacts, and the chance to be actively involved in the still-thriving literary scene of San Francisco. Many internships in the U.S are also paid! This is very useful for combating those rent prices.
