As the end of the semester nears I would like to use this platform to recommend as many SF experiences as I can, so you are able to make the most of your last weeks. As touristy as it is Alcatraz was possibly one of the most interesting experiences I have had in SF. It’s normally booked up for months but if you check it regularly there should be a few tickets available for the next day.

The audio tour was one of the most interesting tours I’ve heard. Your journey around the island is narrated to you by old inmates and guards who used to work there. Aside from its dark past the island is beautiful and the view of San Francisco is spectacular. I would also recommend packing a picnic so you can make the most of your view. Or if you’re more inclined you can brave the masses and grab yourself an in and out, animal style.
