08 May Austin
Austin is it’s own world inside the huge landscape of Texas, one that I was lucky enough to explore over spring break. Because of the hot and humid atmosphere I was driven to find somewhere I could wallow in the sun, we were lucky enough to discover the Barton Spring Pool. It’s a natural pool on the outskirts of Austin surrounded by beautiful landscape. Once you’ve enjoyed a refreshing dip in the pool make your way to the congress avenue bridge at sunset. Here you can watch hordes of bats emerge from underneath the bridge. It’s really quite a spectacle to watch thousands of bats flap across the city skyline as the sun sets behind them.
