Discovering SF – Lake Tahoe

Even though we’re not really talking about San Francisco when talking about Lake Tahoe, this is a place you can not miss at all while you’re staying in SF. I had already heard that this should be an amazing place, but visiting this lake and it’s beautiful surroundings was even more beautiful then I expected it to be. Since it takes four hours to drive to Lake Tahoe, you should plan a weekend to visit this marvelous lake.

Explore – Hiking Mt. Tallac

Mount Tallac’s peak offers you the best view you can get over the lake of Tahoe. It is kind of a tough expedition to reach the top, but after a three hours climb, you won’t be disappointed at all with the view you get. Make sure you bring enough water and some energy, cause you’ll need that. But remember: every single step is worth both the journey and the destination!

Relax – Lake View Commons (South Lake Tahoe)

After this beautiful, but exhausting, tour, it’s time for some relaxing. Find a spot at Lake View Commons and watch the sun disappear behind the mountain you climbed earlier that day.

Sleep – Aerie Lodge (South Lake Tahoe)

Are you looking for a proper but affordable place to sleep, Aerie Lodge at South Lake Tahoe is place I recommend. It’s just a five minutes drive to the lake and it offers you a simple, but proper room in a casual camp setting.
