Don’t know what to read during winter break?

Winter Break is just around the corner and maybe there are other book geeks like me who already wonder what they are gonna read now that they are not overwhelmed by all the reading they had to do for their different classes. To me it was quite frustrating not to have the time to read things that I chose but I am about to catch up during the Holidays (yes I said it already; I’m a book geek ^^)

So here is a small list of my must-read for those who don’t know what to read: (the order does not mean anything)

1.The Kite-runner or The Mountains echoed by Khaled Hosseini (they’re both really sad just so you know)

2.The Pillar of the Earth by Ken Follett (adventure/hisorical story, it is really an excellent book, most of Follett’s book are awesome)

3. Extremely loud and incredibly close by Jonathan Safran Foer (beautiful story about kid who lost his father in 9/11 and tries to stay connected to him through an incredible treasure hunt across NY)

4. Jacques the Fatalist by Diderot (incredibly witty and funny book written by one of the greatest French author)

5. Cancer Ward by Alander Soljenistine (as the title suggests it, it isn’t really a joyful book but it is a beautiful book)

6. The life before us by Romain Gary (Emile Ajar) (also extremy witty and fun but sad as well)

7. The incorrigible optimists club by J.M Guenassia (can’t describe it but it’s awesome)

I hope you will try at least of them, to me they all are masterpieces!
