One of my first real american culinary experience here in San Francisco is called “The Cheesecake Factory”. Like a lot of foreign students I discovered this restaurant in the TV show “The Big Bang Theory” and at first I did not realize that it was a real and famous place in United States. Since the 10th of January I have already been three times in the beautiful Cheesecake Factory in San Francisco. You can find it at the top of the Macy’s mall on Union Square. The interior of the restaurant looks like a typical american restaurant with the famous seats and big tables. But the terrace is much more beautiful ! You have a wonderful view on Union Square and if you are there at night you will benefit from the exterior heatings and the lights of the city.

As I said, I have already been there three times, so I have to tell you what I had and why I recommend you this place. The first time I was with my friends in the middle of afternoon. As I ate a little around noon, I was not really hungry and I decided to have a Vanilla milkshake. This was an amazing, a delicious and huge milkshake with chantilly cream on top. The second time we went there to eat cheesecake (I never tested it before). The first difficulty was the choice. Indeed, the restaurant offers more than 20 different types of cheesecakes. For my part I chose the “Chris Outrageous Cheesecake” with chocolate and coconut. It was delicious ! The third time we were on the terrace for cheesecakes again and I did not know which one I wanted so in order to be sure , I took the “Chris Outrageous” again .. And I was not disappointed at all. I was with good friends with a perfect night view, eating delicious cheesecake.

To conclude on this cheesecake post I have to say that the most important benefits of The Cheesecake factory are the variety of choices (for the cheesecakes you have fruit cheesecakes, Oreo cheesecakes, chocolate and salt caramel and I can carry on the list forever) and the size of the plates. Either you have a meal (and the salted meals are very good) or a cheesecake, you will go back home with almost the half of your plate because of the size of them. So you can have two meals in one and for reasonable prices !
