Ferry Building

Hey folks,

I’m sure you’ve all been enjoying the city so far. It’s funny how we can get used to a new lifestyle and a new city in such a short period of time. One of the things we love to do on weekends is going to the farmers market at the Ferry Building. If you haven’t done it yet, you’re definitely missing out.

There are both indoor shops and restaurants and outdoor stalls. You can find anything from fresh fruits and vegetables to fish, flowers, spices… And also CHEESE and WINE. The cool thing about the market is that you can try samples of food like hummus, cheese, blood oranges and so on. The trick is to go early so you can get to the samples safely. Quick tip, if you buy food there that you intend to eat on the spot, beware of seagulls.

The other great thing about the Ferry Building is that there’s an amazing view of the Bay Bridge, and if you go early enough you’ll get just the right sunlight. Also, right before the entrance to the Ferry Building, there’s a square filled with artisans. You can find jewelry, art, hats, antiques… It might be a good place for you to find souvenirs either for yourself or your friends and family.
