French people in San Francisco

It’s not that difficult for a french to live in San Francisco. San Francisco is very french-loving. If you walk in hayes street close to Van Ness station, you’ll find a dozen of « café » and « brasseries » with french names and french foods. Of course, we miss our bread-cheese-wine way of life, but if you’re rich you can pay for a good croissant in Thorough Bread and Pastry at 4 dollars (when it is 90 cents back in France !). You can also very good crepes, a very fancy thing in here but you must remember it is only eggs, flour, and milk! But the real thing is that SF is full of french people, listen carefully, you’ll hear a french somewhere ! And the funniest thing is that French people complain: « there is to many french in this town » when they are part of it… So if you hear a French complaining about the fact that San Francisco is different and not as good as France because they cannot drink their favorite wine in a terrasse while smoking a cigaret, do not worry, he is just being… french ! And trust me, if they are here, it is because they love it better! They just too proud to admit it…
