Goodbye SFSU ?

Next week will be my final week as part of my exchange program!

Before I head off, I wanted to write one last post to highlight what was great about the program.

I remember coming here in August, with the goal of learning more about tech and getting a good internship.
On the first day of orientation, someone I knew in SF offered to refer me to Google, and that kickstarted the biggest challenge of 2016 for me.

A few weeks later I learned I had gotten an interview, and a large part of my semester ended up being spent preparing for these. Another big this last fall for me were the IEEC Thursday events. I had a nice group of friends, hailing from Europe and Canada mostly, and it was good to have people to share the experience with.

This semester was a bit different, because I didn’t take as much time to meet exchange students. On the other hand, I had met many people in SF through the school’s ACM club and meetups I attended, so it was good to discover another side of the city.

I also landed an interesting part time job, coaching people for their product management interviews, in which I learned a lot.

Although I wasn’t able to get my school to credit another 3D animation class (which I had tried and loved in the fall!), I took two interesting MATH courses that my school doesn’t offer.

Now, as I’m about to head back to Montreal before heading to Mountain View for the summer, I’m starting to feel the nostalgia of leaving my Daly City appartment. I’ll miss the sunsets I got to see from my bedroom window.
