Halloween American Style

Although today is Halloween day, me and my friends celebrated last weekend. Halloween is something I have been looking forward to since I got here because it is such a big tradition among the Americans. We all had bought costumes and we carved out our very own pumpkin and all. In my country, Sweden, we do celebrate Halloween but not as much as here. In our neighborhood, people have decorated their houses with spider web, pumpkins, skeletons and other scary accessories. That is considered way over the top in Sweden, a small pumpkin outside the front door is pretty much everything we do.

I think Halloween is getting more and more widely spread across the world, at least it has started to root in Europe. I know many other countries have a similar tradition as Halloween, but it is more about putting candles at your passed away relative’s graves and honor the dead. Anyway, our Halloween night turned out great and tonight we have loaded with candy for the kids who (hopefully?) will come trick or treatin’ at our house.
