Having fun for free

San Francisco is considered to be the 4th most expensive city in the U.S (according to the CBS news) and the 9th most expensive city in the world (according to The Telegraph). But who am I to throw statistics at you? Most of us are students at San Francisco State University living in San Frnancisco. We know it all. Keeping this information in mind, I decided to do research and find out if it is actually possible to do something about it.

Don’t expect me to tell you that you can rent a room for $400 in the Downtown. I was not that successful in my research. But I found out that you can have lots of fun for free. There is a great website called sf.funcheap.com where you can find schedules of different events in San Francisco Bay
Area. It suits all kinds of preferences: food, art, travel, music, parties etc. And it’s free.

Personally, I went to a free cooking workshop given by a popular chef in San Francisco and a few city tours in the Downtown. Did you know there are many sunken ships underground in the Downtown area?
