17 Feb How to study in the US?

Today, I wanted to write about the way classes are here in the US. In France, we often say that « these americans they do everything the wrong way, or they always do everything backwards. Here is an example: we don’t have at all the same way to study or to prepare our courses. In France, you barely know the teaching program of the year and you come to class without knowing what you are going to learn: we like the suspens! Here, teachers give a lot of readings to do before the classes and that we discuss during the lessons. It doesn’t seem very complicated but, for the french and a lot of other nationalities, it means that we have to revers all our « studying strategy » and anticipate; a concept I am starting to understand know… Until now, I don’t know which way is the best, I’ll see my results after the mid-terms! :)
