How to Survive Finals

The past two days I have finished no less than four finals and today I have my final one. It has been a rocky week with ups and downs and lots of coffee, but I’m almost done and I think I made it. When times are tough and it feels almost impossible to get through everything you are supposed to, here is some tips that might help you out.

  1. Coffee
    Or tea. But preferably coffee.
  2. SF State Food
Ah, where to start. The bagels at the small cafes at the top and bottom of campus are my favorite ones. Ikes place in the basement of the Cesar Chavez buildings have great sandwiches. The food court has pretty much everything. Smoothies, cookies, pastries, vegetables, you name it. Having a meal to look forward to helps when you know you have to spend all day at campus.
  3. Study Buddies
Studying with a friend helped me a lot. It meant we could divide the study guides between us and read up on different topics, and then talk about it together.
  4. Breaks
I had a lot of them, maybe to many. But if you take some minutes to go outside or just close your book for an hour to enjoy your favorite TV-show, I am almost certain that you will study better afterwards.

Good luck!
