In search of peace

Personally, I am not a fan of big cities since I was born and raised in a city with a one-million population (it’s a weird discovery about someone who is doing her exchange in San Francisco).  =) This realization came to my mind during my visit of a small town on the North of San Francisco called Sausalito.

In Sausalito, everything resembles peace and harmony. You can have a cup of flavorous coffee in a small stylish café with a view on busy San Francisco while reading your favorite magazine. You can take your time to enjoy it. Nobody will rush you out.You can shop in unique clothes shops and buy a colorful village dress. You can visit an antique furniture shop where a shop owner will have a friendly talk with you about where you come from and how your life looks like. He won’t try his best to sell you something you don’t want. He won’t act like a salesman. He will just show you his latest work and talk about art. You will be impressed.

Many people think living in a small town is boring. Not for me.

Life goes slow in a small city. You don’t rush and stress out when you are stuck in the traffic. You don’t hear constant noises of a never sleeping city. You have time to enjoy the sun and good weather, have a small talk with a friend you meet on the street and accidentally visit a small art gallery. When you take an evening walk, you can hear only silence. You have time to think. You have time to dream.
