Insurance – 7/12

The health insurance system in the U.S is a farce. But legally, you’ll still have to pay it. My advice would be to contact your health insurance/health care provider (a year later I still don’t fully understand how the system works) and find out exactly what you are paying for. This way, you can make use of some of the benefits and not have that large sum of money go to waste. I’m not sure what the new insurance company will be for the university (it is changing this summer), but the last was some division or associate of Wells Fargo – probably one of the most corrupt banks in America. I assume this change was necessary for association reasons, and I certainly hope it is. But who knows, another company probably just offered discounted prices.
