It’s a very British thing to talk about the weather….

But I’m okay with it.

The weather in SF is interesting. It’s never really too hot, but it’s never really too cold. It’s never really consistent either. I mean, on Friday I was wearing my winter coat with a sweater underneath and a beanie. On Monday I wore flip-flops and got sunburn from an hour outside.

In an ideal world, for me, it would be sunny all day every day but when Karl the fog rolls back in, bringing with him some less than ideal weather, it’s okay. It’s okay because in all honesty SF looks so mystical in the fog, it looks so pretty in the sunshine. It’s a lovely little city regardless of the weather.

Perhaps I am just too accustomed to growing up with nothing to do but complain about the weather, so it has always played a big part in my life. How can you decide what to wear if the weather is SO unpredictable? You trust the sketchy weather apps, sure, and when you wake up unable to wear your favourite sundress because the sunshine has been replaced with torrential rain it’s okay because that’s part of the charm of SF. And I love it so.
