Japanese traditional sports kendo

I think many of you guys don’t know about kendo, so I’m going to introduce about it a little bit.

Kendo is one of the  Japaese traditional sports. It is easier to know when you imagine “Samurai.” We use sword made by bamboo and hit paticuler spot like head, fist, body and sometimes neck. We also wear protector.

I have been  doing kendo for over ten years so I joined kendo team in San Francisco. There some differences about the practice in Japan and San Francisco. In Japan there are more break during practice to take some water, but in here there are no break during practice. Most of the members are really tough. I felt I have to practice hard to keep up with them.

Also it is confusing that people speaking in Japanese about kendo and in English for other things. Sometimes  it is hard for me to what people say, but through kendo I felt I can understand with kendo jesture. I think it is so nice that I can under stand without words.
