Just say “YES” and… see what happens!

In most case “YES!” is the best answer to… about anything. The tricky part is to be able to gauge when saying “yes!’ gets closer to be unbearable for your brain and body rather than nourishing. At a certain point you just have to admit that you can’t always win: say “no” and sleep.   After two overwhelming beautiful and surreal months, I finally reached the critical point this week. The good thing in all this is that it allows me to take the time to look back at what I had the chance to experience and share it.

So here’s one of my “YES!” story;   A friend I met in my camp at Burning Man is a big motorbike fan. Growing up in the countryside of Qc with a bunch of boy that would extol the virtues of any-kind-of-power-engine-thing-on-some-wills  24/7, I am not a hectic fan of motorbike myself, but I can empathise with such feverish creature.

So, of course the first thing he suggested when we had a free weekend together was a bike road trip!  I said “yes”. Even if sometime foggy, the ride along the pacific coast was quite scenic. But of course I can’t go on a road trip without at least some issues. So I manage lose my boots’ sole… (yes…duct tape is a wonderful thing to carry everywhere!) Anyway, to my great surprise we ended up in Santa Cruz where fellow Burners were hosting a beautiful art exposition around the city. Fooled around and shared some good laugh with these amazing people I didn’t had the chance to see since the Burn.

Came back home with a smile stamped on my face, my heart full of love and duct-tape-boots. IMG_20141005_164113786 IMG_20141005_164107267 IMG_20141005_144619461
