Limey in Fog City: Take me out to the Ball Game!

During my time here in San Francisco, I managed to make it to 4 San Francisco Giants games, I saw them lose 5-2 to the Baltimore Orioles, beat the New York Mets 10-7,  and beat the St. Louis Cardinals 8-2.

I genuinely loved every minute of being at the ball game, its potentially the most American experience one can have, as well as pretty enjoyable sport there’s food, fun, patriotism, as well as singing and dancing. The atmosphere is almost like one of a party atmosphere, with many people going not really to watch the game (something as a sports fan I’ve never really understood), but as well as this, there are Baseball obsessives who fill in a scorecard of their own. At the 7th inning they have a cool tradition of playing an old song called ‘Take me out to the ball game’, to which the crowd sings along.

AT&T park (the home of the Giants), is incredible, its this beautiful 48,000 seater stadium which sits right on the Waterfront overlooking the Bay. The only real negative experience was how expensive the food and Drink was ($11 for a pint!).
