One Hell of a road trip – LA & other stuff

Hey guys, it’s been a while !

Last time, I talked about the amazing road trip I did with friends in California, Nevada and Arizona… Let’s carry on!

Second big step : Los Angeles. To be frank, I was kind of disappointed by the city itself. Maybe this was because we didn’t really know the good places to go and only had time to visit the popular areas, but it wasn’t as dreamy as I imagined it would be. However, I had the greatest time at Venice Beach, which is way out of the center of the city. We went there at the end of the afternoon, the street was still full of people enjoying the warmth of the sun going down. Venice Beach is actually a long pedestrian street, just next to the sand and the big ocean, where peeps (mostly tourists, let’s be honest, and some skaters) wander. There are lots of little booths of artisanal art, where you could find original souvenirs to hang up at home or gifts for your parents. I personally acquired a very unique painting of palm trees on the beach from a nice artist, saying I had a good eye. The strong smell of weed and the huge crowded skate park right next to the beach also adds to the amazing atmosphere of this place. To end on a high note, LA offered us a beautiful orange sunset while leaving the beach. Definitely would go here again!

I would also recommend Santa Monica and Newport Beach, very cute cities near LA, where you can walk around big lively piers and sunbathe on nice beaches. Jump on the big wheel on Santa Monica Pier for a great view!

To be continued…

‘Talk to you next time folks!
