Spontaneous Late Night Adventures

What better way to adventure a new city than to go on a spontaneous trip? Get lost in a new country can’t sound too bad… well being safe of course and not going down a shady looking area. Go with your instincts, sometimes maybe most of the time they’ll take you to great places. Last night we went on a spontaneous trip to many different places…

Glen Canyon Park

It’s quite a small park close to where I live, it’s a nice place to get away and take your mind of things. But… going there at night… whole other story! It was so scary it was absolutely pitch black we had to use our camera light on our phones to see where we were going. It was such an adrenaline rush, the people I was with kept joking that this is how horror stories start and I get paranoid and kept looking behind us!

Bay Bridge – Oakland
The Bay Bridge is so beautiful at night, the lights lighting up the structure, and its got effects that move along the bridge. Oakland felt like a different place to SF, I think it was the buildings, the area that we went through had a lot of high rise buildings whereas in SF there’s a lot of townhouses.

Lombard St at Night
I haven’t properly been to the winding street on Lombard St but at night… you get an amazing view of the Bay Bridge, Coit Tower and the beautiful stars on a clear night. It’s so close to downtown and yet I still haven’t walked down the street… I’ll save it for another time since I’m going to be here till December, I’ve got plenty of time.. so I say that now…

Baker Beach
The sound of the ocean at night, with the Golden Gate Bridge in the distance and the moon was shining so bright made Baker Beach so much more fun especially at 2 in the morning, anything that late at night is usually fun though. It was so peaceful just sitting on the logs and just enjoying SF, other than the fact that the wind was so cold I couldn’t feel my feet but those thoughts don’t come into your head at that moment of time.

The spontaneity of this midnight car drive around town was what made the night so special. We made things up as we went, there was no real structure to where we were going, just see where it takes us. The trip is a metaphor to life, just take it as it comes, you don’t have to plan every single thing out, you can still have fun doing things spontaneously. Okay that went deep pretty fast. Anyways, sometimes its better to keep things unplanned, not unorganized but unplanned, it the thrill of Life.
