Step 3: Santa Barbara and California 1

Hi everyone!

This is the last article about my spring break. As a reminder, my first two steps were about Las Vegas and Los Angeles.

After our four days in Los Angeles, we took a train (Amtrack) to go to Santa Barbara. It took us a little less than two hours to get there. I had never taken the train in the United States before and I have to admit that it was a pretty good deal. The train was very calm, clean and spacious. We arrived at the end of the morning in Santa Barbara, we found a hotel and went to the beach on the afternoon. Our Uber driver advised us Hendry’s beach, which was  really an awesome beach. It was very wild with mix of rocks and sand, the perfect place to get our first suntan. At the end of the day we walked on state street, one of the cutest streets I’ve ever seen. It is definitely the place to go in Santa Barbara!

The next day we rent a car to go back to San Francisco and we drove on the 101 and California 1 roads. We had an incredible moment thanks to this road. You have a gorgeous view of the ocean all the time. There are many stops where you can just park you car and admire the view. I highly recommend you to do that.

We arrived around 8pm in San Francisco, exhausted but really glad to have spent such a wonderful spring break !
