The First weeks!

I had a lot of expectations when I arrived to San Francisco about two weeks ago. And what I’ve learned the last two weeks is that not everything is as you expected.

First of all before I arrived to San Francisco I thought the weather always would be cloudy and the temperature did not go above 20 degrees. I was SO wrong! Since I came here the weather has been great and I have seen the sun every day and that makes me really happy! The other thing that neither was as I expected is the school. At my home university in Sweden I get accepted into a program and this gives me automatic admission to all courses belonging to the program. So we don’t need to search different courses that you have to do here at SFSU. Before I came here I was enrolled in 5 different classes. Two of them were mandatory from my home university and the other three had to belong to my major. On my first day of school I got dropped from one of my mandatory classes and everything turned into chaos. Fortunately all worked out great after incredibly good help from several professors. The last thing that was not as I expected is the public transport. What I’ve learned the last two weeks is that you can not trust the Muni timetable. Sometimes it goes very often and sometimes not at all. Back home in Sweden it takes about 10 minutes for me to take me to school. Here in San Francisco it takes all from 30 minuted to over an hour depending on whether  the trains runs as they should.  So I have learned that I need a lot more bigger time margin when I commute to school here than I have to have home in Sweden.

To sum it up this two first weeks has taught me that not everything will be as expected. But that everything will be fine in the end :) I’m really looking forward to this semester at SFSU. And all I have to say is, San Francisco, BRING IT!Processed with VSCOcam with t1 preset
