15 Feb Things I don’t get about America – #1: paper
Hey guys, this is Lucy from the Czech Republic talking to you :) I made a commitment to write everyweek’s blog so here’s my first post. The blog is gonna be randomly picked topics that interested me so much that I feel like telling you about.
#1 thing I don’t get about America: PAPER!
I am used to see the differences in various countries, I spent one year in the UK, where things are so different from the rest of the Europe (driving on the left, roundabouts everywhere (3 in the row is not a big deal)), but they have the same SIZE OF THE PAPER as in the whole Europe. It is A4 which is 21 x 30 cm (another measurement issue) but you have something like 11 x 8 inches… In addition, we use hole puncher either two holes in the middle or the four holes – you guys have three. How can I fit your papers in MY binder? Better throw it..
But what I like about your papers – you use so many color papers to print on them so it doesn’t confuse people which one to hand in now and later. Thanks for this tweak :-)
By the way, if you don’t know me, my name is Lucy and I come from the Czech Republic, from the town where the world’s known beer is brewed – Pilsner Urquell. Reach me and join for a pint of it in Cafe Prague (424 Merchant Street).
