Traveling is no longer a dream

Whenever people ask me what I like to do on holidays, I always say I’d like to travel yet I seldom visit a place more than three days. It’s more like a short trip rather than calling it traveling. However, I can say traveling is  no longer a dream for me anymore now.

About two months ago, I went to Los Angeles, San Diego and Las Vegas. I also visited Horseshoe Bend and Antelope Canyon, which I really want to go when I saw pictures on the websites. It was a sixteen-day travel, it might be the  longest travel in my life until now. Traveling is a good way to know yourself better,. For example, you might know which kind of lifestyle you like, which kind of places you enjoy your time the most, or just simply visit some tourist attractions is also a good choice.

After I came back from Vegas, I went to Lake Tahoe with my dear friends. They are from German, Netherland, Japan and Korea. Our plan was to do the snowboarding. However, we encountered snow storm and all of us had to get down and then push the van in the freaking cold weather.  We even went out of electricity at second night. But it was still a memorable memory because though we were facing so much problems, no one complained. We took turns to cook different dishes everyday in our sweet airbnb cottage. (Since we have people from all over the world.) I could say this was the best trip ever in my life. My very first time to see the snow in my life. (There’s no snow in Taiwan.) Though it was too cold and I got fever during the trip, I felt so warm inside because my friends were all caring about me.

Traveling is no longer a dream. I’m looking forward to my trip to Chicago in East America this semester.
