Yet another bike ride around the city

One of the first things I did when I got to San Francisco was buying a bike and I don’t regret that for one second. I ride my bike everywhere and it’s a great way to explore this beautiful city from above, instead of looking out a window in a dark muni tunnel. I can get everywhere in the city in less than an hour and I don’t need to rely on public transit. Usually its faster to bike than to take the muni as well: I can get from Dolores park to campus in less than 30 minutes while it takes me at least 40 minutes to get there by the muni.

I spent my Friday cruising around the city on my bike: from Mission district to Fishermans Wharf; from Fishermans through the Marina and the presidio. The weather was perfect for a ride, not to cold and not to warm. We ended up watching the sunset from “Batteries to Bluffs Trail”. An old man sat down with us and told us that he has been coming there everyday for the last 30 years to watch the sunset with his wife and that this was his favorite place in the world.
