If you want to escape from the big city and get out into nature, I think you definitely should go to Yosemite! Me and my friend Frida decided that we would be there for the day but in hindsight it would have probably been better to be there at least for two days because there are so much to se and do.

Anyways we hired a car because that is the easiest way to get there. We started our trip 4 in the morning and drove to Yosemite. Since it was dark when we started driving we saw a really nice sunrise on our way there. After about 4 hours we arrived in Yosemite. The first thing we did was go to the visitor center. They helped us to pick out the best hiking trail for the day. After we had gotten our maps we started our journey up to a waterfall. It took about 1.5 hours to get to the top of the waterfall but it was all worth it because the view was amazing. We walked all the way down and took our car to see the sequoia trees. They were so big!! After a whole day with hiking we took our car back to San Francisco again. Although it takes a few hours to drive there it was so worth it. Since the park is so big you need a car to get around although there are busses. And if you want to get the most out of Yosemite I suggest you should stay for at least two days!
