15 Feb Yosemite Park

Hi everyone !

I wanted to talk to you about a little trip in Yosemite. My boyfriend came on the 10th of February to spend 10 days of holidays here in San Francisco. Because the weather was beautiful, we planned to go to Yosemite on Saturday. There are different options to go there, you can drive, or take a bus; you can sleep in a lodge or in a hotel outside the park. As we planned it at the last minute, these options were either too expensive or no longer available. So we traveled with a “Viator” proposition. We bought our vouchers on internet and on Saturday morning at 6.30 am, the bus picked us in front of Parc 55 hotel in Market Street. There were about 30 people for this excursion. All along the road, our bus driver made comments about this part of United States or things we could see on the road and in the landscape around us. We arrived at Yosemite around 11.30 am (we made a 40 minutes break on the road). The bus driver stopped at different points to let us admire the landscape. It was wonderful ! And around 1 pm we arrived at our destination: Yosemite falls!

We had almost 2 hours free to explore this part of Yosemite park. With my boyfriend we went really close to Yosemite falls, there are amazing ! Then we walked around in this part of the park where we found big sequoias (not the biggest ones but already big). The park was crowded because it was a perfect day to go there. There was snow in the fields but a very warm sun. After this walk, we get back to the bus and the guide drove us to El Capitan and Yosemite Valley. It is crazy how as humans we felt so small compared to these huge rocks! The Yosemite valley was also really beautiful.

After 4pm we left Yosemite Park. As we crossed the Bay Bridge around 8pm, the driver offered us a surprise. He stopped on a perfect spot on Treasure Island and let us admire the beautiful Bay Bride with all its lights and the port of San Francisco. It was a perfect moment to end up the day.

I can’t deny that we were very tired at the end of the day, but it was a really good trip. I wish we could have walk more but for the rest I really liked it and my boyfriend too.

So definitely, you should go to Yosemite !
