A night out in Berkley

A few weeks ago, I got to see two of my favorite bands live, Touche Amore and Thursday. I hadn’t seen them in years.

The concert was taking place at The UC Theater, a venue in Berkley that is operated mostly by students who get their first experience putting concerts together via internships at the venue.

Before the show, I went to El Burro Picante, right in front of the venue. Their burrito bowl was excellent and made even better by adding some of the many hot sauces that they have hanging on the walls of the restaurant.

The show itself was great! The first opener was a local band, which was quickly followed by Basement, hailing from the UK.

After, Touche Amore gave an incredible performance. Playing both older and newer songs with high intensity.

Last but not least, Thursday came on stage. They played an energizing set, to the delight of all attendees, young and old.
