Americas national college sport

One thing I’ve learned from watching movies about American college culture, such as “American Pie”,  is that setting up a beer pong table will always do the trick of cheering up the crowd. I knew that these movies showed a slightly skewed (and far more glamorous) side of college parties than the actual reality. Even though that might be true, they still show something that reflect the reality of an American college party: beer pong. It’s not to hard to set up and anyone who’s somewhat competitive and doesn’t turn down a beer, even if it might be a semi-warm bud light in a dirty plastic cup.

When I looked at the forecast for the weekend sometime midweek I saw an opening how to combine hanging by my favorite spot in SF at the same time as getting some American college culture in: set up beer pong tables in Dolores park. Said and done.

Two fold-up tables, a boom-box, 100 cups and some good company later

We ended up playing until 3 o’clock before the cops decided to end the party due to some regulations that says “no music allowed” (yeah I know; naked and a sock over your thing is cool, but some sick tunes from a speaker is a no go).

So if you happened to se me close to a beer pong table, which you will if they have one at the party, feel free to challenge me and I promise you: I will kick your ass.
