Cruffin Breakfast

My lovely roommate woke me up today and asked if I wanted to join her for a special treat for breakfast. Who would say no to that?

So at 8 am (early for a Saturday morning..) we took the muni towards the famous Mr. Holmes Bakehouse. Arriving at 8.40, the line was already fair-sized. There are two lines; one for the cruffins and one for other pastries. They start selling the Cruffins at 9 and if you’re late, they just might sell out. Prepare to stand in line for at least 40 minutes. It’s worth the while, I promise! And remember this; the cruffins are limited to 2 per person!

Some of you may wonder what a Cruffin really is? As the name suggests, it’s a hybrid between a croissant and a muffin with a delicious filling. Mr. Holmes Bakehouse change the flavor of the cruffin every day, and today it was Pumpkin Cheesecake (do I need to say more?!). I also suggest you buy your coffee somewhere else because it’s pretty small and crowded at Mr. Holmes, and no place to sit down. Hint: Go to Lafayette Park, which is nearby, have a sit and enjoy the weekend!
