Fall in Yosemite

After coming to San Francisco I’ve come to love nature so much more than I did before. I guess moving to a new city where everything feels different and you don’t really know anyone forces you to really appreciate the small things in life. Cliché, I know, but it’s true.

Two weekends ago I went to Yosemite National Park and got to see a whole lot of gorgeous nature. You can imagine I had a blast. Normally it’s starting to get really cold there at this time of the year, but we were really lucky and could enjoy over 20°C (68-75°F) and walking around in shorts.

Some of the places we went during our two days there was up to the Sentinel Dome where we had the most amazing 360° view over the park, including the famous Half Dome. After eating our lunch up in the mountain, we hiked from there to Glacier Point where you can see the Half Dome closer and also step out on a rock that is close to the edge of one of the mountains. I’ll admit it was pretty scary to stand up on that rock knowing that you would for sure fall to your death if you were to lose your balance. Luckily I survived and also got some cool pictures.

We also got to see the Bridalveil Fall, a lot of beautiful nature, stunning sunsets and all the fall colors I didn’t realize I had missed so much before I got there. I wish we had more days to spend there as it’s so much to see, but that will have to be another time. All in all we had a great trip, and I recommend everyone to go there at least once.
