Galvinised Grass Roots

American politics are one of the best spectacles in the world. It is intriguing to live in a place that is, comparative to my home country, so vocally political.  I live next to a bar that screens every presidential debate on a big screen, allowing a muster of slightly inebriated voters to hurl abuse at the sight of Trump and cheer at the end of a Sanders sentence. I think its beautiful that on these nights, shall I walk the streets, almost every bar has it playing on a screen, people hushed in silence to participate in the democratic process over a pint of Lagunitas. If any part of this sounds cynical, tis because I am bereft of tone and robbed of gesticulation in type. I genuinely love this.
