19 Dec Getting my head around going home

Going home is a stressful time. I’ve written about how I will spend my time at home and how I want to succeed in the spring term, but I think I will need to wrap my head around coming and going. Change makes me very nervous, but to counter this I am trying to plan my flights and life really well!

Going home having been homesick for Scotland is going to be strange as I will be plunged into all these experiences that I’ve not had since July! Although I’ve really missed the UK I think coming back to America after a relatively short amount of time will be interesting as I think I will be slightly homesick for SFSU as well. I like having two homes at the moment and I am not sure how I will feel when I completely return in July. I feel very privileged to be able to go home and come back for a second term, as many of my friends only have one term here at SFSU, so I plan to make the most of my second term and make lots of new friends.
