Getting ready to say goodbye

I’ve talked about this before in previous blog posts but having to actually leave San Francisco is a reality I’ve not considered up until this point. It’s been the most insanely fun year, but it’s been over in an absolute heartbeat.

Yet semester one feels like a lifetime ago. I feel like I’m achieved so much in the last few months. This combination of IEEC events and so many deadlines and social engagements has been so draining but so rewarding. The friends I’ve made here feel like friends for life and even if San Francisco had somehow failed to live up to my expectations, they would have made it worth it.

The culture of San Francisco is what I’ll miss the most. Everything here seems to have a story, there’s so much gorgeous architecture and stores that have been here for decades. I’ll miss everything that makes San Francisco so world famous but I’m honoured to have been able to eke out my own little life here. Even if it was just for a year.
