Grand Canyon

During this year’s labor day weekend, my friends and I visited Grand Canyon. It was truly incredible and the view was so beautiful. We drove for about 16 hours but that didn’t matter. It was all worth it. For a foreigner, I guess for an American as well, the road trip is a big part of the experience. I have always dreamed about going on a road trip through California and now I have. We will also travel south on Highway 101 later this fall. And when we do, I will for sure post it on the blog.

We arrived to Grand Canyon early on Saturday and it would appear that the long trip was so worth it.

Fun facts regarding Grand Canyon:
The Grand Canyon is 277 miles long, 18 miles wide and attains a depth of over a mile. For over thousands of years, Native Americans have inhabited the area and built settlements within the canyon and its many caves. The first European known to have viewed the Grand Canyon was Garcia Lopez de Cardenas in 1540.

The Canyon is the result of erosion, which creates one of the most complete geologic columns on the planet.

But instead of writing about it, I should just show it to you!
