20 May Juggling life at home and life here

Something that I didn’t realise would come into such considerable play this semester was having to juggle both my life here and my life at home in Scotland. Though I haven’t been back since Christmas, I’ve had friends fly over to visit and extended FaceTimes with all my relatives so it feels as if a part of me is still back there.

In getting ready to wrap up semester two and my full year, I’ve had to think about what’s waiting for me back home and with my best friend currently visiting San Francisco, it’s been a bit of a mental confusion. It’s not a particularly pleasant place to be at but it’s a rather exciting experience to be torn between two different places and groups of people.

I’m currently trying to put all of these feelings to bed and not miss San Francisco while still here. Better to save that when I’m actually back in Scotland and it’s raining 24/7.
