20 Feb Let’s ride it !

I wanted to share with you another great experience of my last week. My boyfriend has been in San Francisco until today and he could not go back home without seeing the Golden Gate Bridge ! That is why we went to see it on Sunday.

In order to have a different perspective, we decided to rent a bike (more precisely a tandem) on Fisherman’s Wharf at San Francisco Bicycle Rental on Jefferson street. We rode from this point to the Golden Gate Bridge so we went along the marina which is a beautiful place. It was sunny in the afternoon so everybody was outside, playing in the grass, riding their bike or just walking along the ocean.

We decided to cross the bridge and go on the other side to admire the view of the Golden Gate with San Francisco behind. It was a big effort to ride the bike up to the hill once we crossed the bridge. But it really worths it. It was sunset time and the view was extraordinary. On our way back we could see the bridge with all its lights, which give us another point of view.

It took us 2h30 to go to the bridge, cross it and go back to the bike shop and cost us only 35$ in total. So if you want to discover this part of the city with a different persepctive, the bike is a really great idea!
