Looking back at San Francisco cuisine

As we wrap up for this semester and for the year I’ve been trying to stop by as many food places as I can before I go. I’ve been to so many incredible restaurants and cafes this year it’s hard to name them all. I’m going to be genuinely devastated to have to say goodbye to San Francisco cuisine.

My San Francisco bucket list of places I’ve already been to but loved so much I can’t wait to go again one last time includes;

  • Dumpling Time: a petite bar and restaurant serving incredible spring rolls and sake (which is delicious).
  • Blue Bottle Coffee: they sell the greatest hot chocolate.
  • Souvla: probably my favourite meal in the whole of San Francisco. Incredible Greek wine and food – the veg sandwiches and sour cherry frozen yoghurt are to die for.
  • The Cheesecake Factory: a super basic choice but I can’t say no to a fat slab of cheesecake and the Impossible Burger is heaven on Earth for a vegetarian like me.
  • Street Taco: a Mexican eatery in Haight-Ashbury that sells the best nachos. I can’t be in the area without getting them.
  • Noori: the best Indian food I’ve had in San Francisco. Gigantic portions and so flavourful.

I’ll miss a lot about San Francisco but honestly, the food has just been heavenly. I can’t wait to be back.
