My first weeks in San Francisco

It only took me a couple days to fall in love with this exciting yet relaxed and laid back city. San Francisco has so much to offer and I would love to share with everyone what I’ve experienced so far. Exactly 17 days ago I arrived at SFO airport and since then my days are full of meeting new people, going places, experiencing different cultures and eat a lot of FOOD. Especially the last one is very easy over here and also probably something I shouldn’t be doing too much but there are just so many places to eat. I’ll share a couple places with you.

Go to Taqueria Vallarta on Mission Street for Mexican food or if you want Asian food you should definitely give Yamo a chance. Yamo looks kind of ghetto from the out and inside, but the food is amazing and definitely worth a try if you like Asian. If you want to try out something touristic and American – go to the Cheesecake factory at Geary Street for a Sunday Brunch, they have perfect buttermilk pancakes.

A couple days ago I went on this small road trip to see Santa Cruz and the Big Sur. We took the famous Highway One, because of the great view while driving. I took some pictures and they look great, but the real life view was just mind blowing. Nature over here is so different from where I come from. The Netherlands is probably the flattest country in the whole world so when I see the streets of San Francisco or the view from highway one it was overwhelming.
