No time for partying

N

This blog is supposed to reflect my experience as an exchange student living in SF. I like to see it as my diary. Something that I can go back to when this experience is over and remember details that my memory can’t retain. I am supposed to talk about what I visit, what I eat, what I discover, what I find shocking and things like that. But there are some weeks where you just can’t talk about anything surprising or exciting, because some weeks are just average and dull. This week is one of those. Except from a little party I went to this Friday, the rest of the week has been really boring. All I did was go grocery, go to the gym, go to class, do assignments for school and staying home watching Netflix. I have a very busy life and I have to do everything by myself, so I don’t have very much time for going out and visit new places. I know that every week is different and I will have more time in following weeks, but sometimes life is just not that exciting.

What I’m trying to say with this post is that not every single moment of this experience is going to be the most amazing time of your life. You’re going to discover a lot of new things, new places and new people, of course, but you also have to fulfill your responsibilities. That means that sometimes you won’t have time to be a crazy young student and be more of a boring and responsible adult (sounds great, uh?). But don’t get discouraged, that part of your life is going to teach you how to face real life by yourself, a lot of abilities you didn’t know you had and will make you feel a useful and independent person. So I guess that, even in the dullest and hardest moments, you can take something positive. And in spite of this dull moments, living ins SF is still an amazing experience!
