13 Mar #1: Photojournalism & the City

So, this semester I’ve had the chance to take a photojournalism class. I feel really lucky to be able to take something so different from the degree I’m studying, even if they overlap in some respects, but getting this chance to do something I love and something practical at a higher education level is amazing. It’s working to make me feel more confident about my work, having to show at least 4 photos every week to a full class and justify my choices, its making me more knowledgeable about a camera I’ve had for at least 4 years but learnt almost everything through trial and error, and best of all, its making me run around the city scouting for events, meeting new people and seeing new sides to San Francisco with every assignment.
