Roomates

When I got here I was really nervous and also excited about meeting my new roommates. I didn’t know who any of them were, I just knew that we would be four women in a two-bedroom apartment, which scared me a little. I haven’t shared a room since I was living in a bunk bed in boarding school and I really value my alone time.

But I soon realized that because rent is so crazy expensive here in the Bay Area, most students share rooms. It took some getting used to, but I think it is always like that when you meet new people and have to navigate a tight living quarter. But in the end, I enjoyed it a lot and I know I am going to miss my roommates when I go home. But I will say, I still prefer not sharing a room, even though it is fun having someone to say “Goodnight” to.
