Seattle

The second stop of my thanksgiving road trip was Seattle, home of my favourite TV show, Greys Anatomy. For anyone planning a visit to Seattle, which I would highly recommend, here are some of my top places to visit:

Pike Place Market: from hand knitted hats to freshly caught fish, Pike Place Market has it all. It’s almost to overwhelming to actually buy anything but it’s still fun to walk around and see what’s going on.

The Space Needle: although very touristy, The Space Needle is a must do. A brief lift ride will take you above the Seattle skyline and present you with some truly breath taking scenery. However if heights aren’t your thing you might want to give this one a miss.

The Gum Wall: It is as gross as it sounds. It is literally a wall covered with random peoples discarded gum. But like most gross things I have an almost morbid fascination with it.

My final recommendation for not just Seattle but exploring in general is walk everywhere. You are bound to find some interesting nook you would have otherwise missed.
