19 Dec Spending your last week in San Francisco

I’ve been considering what to do before I go home for Christmas, in my last week before San Francisco. Admittedly, it is finals week but I’ve been finding time to do what makes me happy here, and I thought I’d pass on what’s worked for me.

• Revisit your favorite places in the city. If like me, you’re coming back in 2019, this may not be such a painful goodbye but if you’re going home for good, certain places may hold certain memories. Be sure to visit them!
• Double check your packing. Sounds obvious but is essential. Passport, check. Visa, check. Signature if you’re returning in 2019, check. Say goodbye to the people who have made your time here so enjoyable. Meet up for a coffee or if you’re bogged down in finals, revise together, this is both productive and fun! This includes lecturers. A kind email around the holiday season to a professor whose class you really enjoyed goes a long way.
• Make sure you have gifts for friends and family. It’s Christmas! So spread a little cheer and buy some cute SF gifts for those close to you. Don’t forget to buy some stuff for yourself too so you can remember this amazing trip!
