Sushi in the City

S

Before arriving in San Francisco, i never was a huge fan of sushi, and had never even been to eat at a sushi restaurant before. Controversial i know, seeing as it’s the craze and everyone seems to be obsessed with it! However, the friends that i have made here in the USA love sushi! Everytime we go out to eat, sushi is always suggested. The first place i experienced having sushi at was at the Marina. We went to a restaurant called Naked Fish. For me, i only eat veggie sushi, which i learnt i enjoy a lot more than normal sushi at this certain restaurant. However, they didn’t have the largest veggie sushi on the menu, yet it was still enjoyable. (A cucumber and avocado sushi roll is my favourite anyway.) The second sushi restaurant we went to was a place in Haight Street, called Ginza Sushi and Sake. Again, everyone loved it here, and they had a wider range of veggie options here too!! The last place i went to was right in downtown San Francisco, about a 5 minute walk from Union Square, called Sakana sushi bar and grill. This place is so convenient if you are in the centre of the city. Moreover, the veggie menu at this place was a lot better than the previous restaurants, and the Sweet soy marinated squash sushi roll is something i would definitely recommend for veggie sushi eaters!
