Thanksgiving break road trip day 6/7

DAY 6/7

During Thanksgiving break, me and my roommate went on a huge road trip.

That morning, it was snowing like crazy in Bryce Canyon. When we got up at 6:30 am, it was also -13 degrees Celsius. I’m from Holland, so I’m pretty much used to the cold, but I had never experiences such low temperatures. We had to be very careful driving to Bryce Canyon, since it was very slippery. The view was really pretty. All of the orange rocks in the Canyon were covered in show. We wanted to go on a hike, but since it was heavily snowing and the path was very slippery, it was not safe enough. Most of the trails were closed too. After paying a visit to Bryce Canyon, we drove to Zion National Park, where we made a couple of quick stops.

That afternoon, we drove back to Las Vegas. We arrived there around 4 pm, so we still had the entire afternoon + night to explore the city. I loved every second of it. Las Vegas is one of the cities that you should really go to at least once in your life, just because it is so different from all the other cities. We went to a bunch of hotels (The Venetian, New York New York, Excalibur, etc.), saw the fountain show at the Bellagio Hotel (which was pretty disappointing, lol), went to Fremont Street, and saw the Las Vegas sign. We (the broke students) had a (not so real) Thanksgiving meal at Denny’s. Well, at least there was turkey involved.

The next morning we had to get up at 5:30 am to get on the bus back to San Francisco. Safe to say we were tired, haha.
