The germ scare: how to survive quarantine

The Media, all over the world, have spread the news: Scientists declared that the Covid-19 is now a pandemic. Leading to a massive shut down of many institutions and establishments. SFSU does not escape the trend. Indeed, the campus is closed. Classes are now online. Here is a list of things that you can do while confined at home, to make the best out of your quarantine time.

Boost your immune system:

Peel some ginger, slice it. In a cooking pot, heat water and add the ginger. Wait until it comes to a boil. Add thyme, let cook for a few minutes. Cut a lime in half; add its juice to the preparation. Remove pan from heat. Pour sugar. Drink warm!

Drink comfort beverages:

Find barista oat milk, cocoa powder and a chocolate bar in your usual convenient store. In a pot, heat the milk. Drop a few squares of chocolate, let it melt, add cocoa powder. Pour three drops of hand sanitizer; stir. Bon appétit!

Exercise:

You don’t want your muscles to atrophy while stuck at home. This is why moving around is important.

Browse Netflix:

Plug your laptop on nearest outlet. Go on Netflix, wash your computer and hands with soap and water. You have 99.9% chances of electrocution. Way more than the 3.4% mortality rate of the Covid-19. But don’t you worry; the latter mostly affects old males -Phew-.

On a more serious note:

Please stay home as much as possible and wash your hands. Also, no need to panick shop, it is by doing so that you’ll create a penury. Some people really need groceries and hand sanitizer – try to use soap and water instead, and buy only what you can consume -.

You don’t stay home for your own safety but for the lives of elderly, and/or disabled people, and/or precarious individuals, etc. If for you staying home is boring remember that for others the fact that you are going out is lethal.

Consider helping out your friends and communities that need help.
