21 Dec The Grand Canyon part 2

We went for a 17-mile round trip hike that would take us all the way to the bottom of the Grand Canyon. Little did we know it was a two-day hike instead of a single day hike and later we would suffer dearly for that.

When we hit the trailhead, we started hiking down for almost 4 hours, enjoying mesmerizing views. On the way down, we found two old uranium mines and pasted rock sediments from many different eras in many different colors. When we hit the bottom, there was only one thing that that was circling my mind, we still had to go all the way up the way we had come. It took us a total of 7,5 hours to hike back up and we were completely exhausted when we arrived.

I would definitely come back here, and I would really recommend you try to visit.
